The San Diego Marriott La Jolla is within walking distance of the venue. Hyatt Regency and Embassy Suites are a bit further away, an approximately 20-minute walk to the venue. Sheraton La Jolla Hotel is located in a similar spot. Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines and La Jolla Shores Hotel are ~15-20 minutes away by car and are located in very nice places. There are cheaper options available which are ~15-25 minutes away by car, such as Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Diego-Sorrento Valley and Extended Stay in Sorrento Mesa, among many others.
